Kristi Spanier, PT, DPT, a physical therapist with Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services, will discuss “What You Should Know About Osteoarthritis” at noon March 5 at the HRRMC Medical Clinics, 550 W. U.S. 50, Salida.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis and affects an estimated 27 million Americans. Spanier will talk about the risk factors, symptoms, disease progression and treatment options for osteoarthritis.

Spanier earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2007. She has experience in a variety of orthopedic settings and specializes in manual-therapy techniques. She is also certified in dry needling, a treatment for relieving pain.

The event is the first in a series of quarterly lunch-and-learns presented by HRRMC Rehabilitation. Community members are welcome to take a brown-bag lunch. Beverages will be served.
