Organizers are issuing a call for volunteers to help work on the ruts and mud bog to build a rock crossing on Rutledge. The cleanup event will take place on Saturday.
“We will provide some food and prizes that have been donated by our local bike shops,” said Jocelyn Froehlich, one of the organizers. “If anybody would like to attend, we are meeting at the lower chalet area at 9 a.m.”
The event runs all day Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. People will also have a chance to learn about what’s happening to the trails beginning in the summer.
White Track, a former downhill skiing area, is located in Buffalo Pound Provincial Park. In the summer, there is more than 30 kilometers of mountain biking trails and gravel roads.
Froehlich said volunteers can stay as long as they are able.
