Richard Sheppard knew he was onto a good thing when he was asked to head to Annecy to hang out at the Women’s Hang Gliding World Championships over the summer – and he took full advantage of his precious few days at the competition.
With his camera round his neck and his quirky eye for a tall tale he set about interviewing some of hang gliding’s best women.
The result is a brilliant insight into the laid-back, friendly atmosphere of the women’s competition scene revealing the highs and the lows of this exceptional but tightknit group of competition pilots.
