Actor Shahid Kapoor is reportedly headed down the aisle and his fiance is believed to be a college student from Delhi named Mira Rajput.
The Bombay Times reports that Shahid, 34, and Meera met through the Radha Soami Satsang, a religious group to which their families belong. The couple have reportedly been engaged since January.
Little is known about Mira, who is believed to be in her third year at Delhi’s prestigious Lady Shri Ram College. Shahid’s father, actor Pankaj Kapur, reportedly met Mira’s family at their residence in the Delhi suburb of Chhatarpur some days ago.
There has been no official confirmation of the engagement from Shahid’s team.
The actor was last seen as the titular character in Haider, director Vishal Bhardwaj’s desi adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. He’s currently filming Shaandaar with actress Alia Bhatt and Udta Punjab, which co-stars Alia again and his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
