Director Anurag Kashyap is having a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad week when he should be having a really good one with the second trailer of his film Bombay Velvet releasing to unanimous praise.

On Twitter, Mr Kashyap savaged ‘sick media’ after a section of the press apparently suggested that a clip from a short film he directed featuring actress Radhika Apte partly-nude was ‘leaked’ for publicity. The clipwent viral on WhatsApp over the weekend and Mr Kashyap has filed a First Information Report or FIR with the Mumbai Police’s cyber crime branch.

Mr Kashyap sent out a series of tweets on Tuesday:

Media portals are worst than the perverts of Social Media. Only a sick mind can suggest that video leak is for promotion.

For the record the film is delivered and leak is from NY and the producers office in NY is investigating it and so is Crime Branch

And soon we will have the culprit.. Sick media and sick minds..

In the last week, Mr Kashyap has also crossed swords with actor-producer Kamaal R Khan who tweeted about allegedly being offered money by filmmaker Karan Johar to give Bombay Velvet a four-star review. After a series of tweets from KRK, as Mr Khan is known, Anurag Kashyap responded with:

For the record I have nothing to do with Mr KRK stopping to review films, I think he is shit scared that he will have to eat his words …1

Anurag Kashyap (@anuragkashyap72) April 25, 2015

So he blames it on me, because it’s also easy to believe that I must have done it. There are genuine reviewer who give bad reviews ..2

KRK, who has had Twitter arguments with several celebrities including actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra, has since been gleefully retweeting those accusing Mr Kashyap of ‘leaking’ the clip featuring Radhika Apte.

Bombay Velvet, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, releases on May 15.
