I say try because they don’t work without massively unpleasant side effects. We’re not meant to shed weight like water and when we try to our bodies don’t react particularly well. Recent studies in the United Arab Emirates have shown that around ten of the most common supplements for weight loss have dangerous and potentially life threatening consequences when taken often. Is losing weight worth losing your life? No. Of course it isn’t.


The most effective way to lose weight is to balance diet and exercise in a way you enjoy. If you start doing something which you hate then you’re never going to keep doing it for long enough for it to have any real effect on you. If you enjoy something then you’re much more likely to stick with it and as such you’re much more likely to lose the weight you want to lose.
