As Hafeez Bin Ali, a bearded and capped Riteish holds a phone to his ear. Riteish and Pulkit star as a pair of terrorists on a mission to change the world who fail consistently due to their inability to live up to their own lofty ideals.

Riteish was last seen as a baddie in earnest in the 2014 movie Ek Villain, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. In Bangistan, he is relatively harmless.

The comic-satire, slated to hit the screens on July 31, is produced by Excel Entertainment which is co-owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
