Although many people look forward to the winter season, they don’t enjoy the dry, crackled skin and lips that come with cold dry air. Individuals interested in keeping their skin moist and supple this winter should knowa few different ideas for keeping those knuckles soft and wrists smooth. Here are some ideas for some of your worst winter skin.

At-Home Microdermabrasion Kits

At-home microdermabrasion kits have become a popular component of the skin care industry, and for good reason. These kits provide you with the opportunity to remove the first several layers of dead, dull-looking skin from your face or hands and feet. Once this process is put in motion, a smooth, supple layer of lively looking skin will be revealed. You can typically purchase an at-home microdermabrasion kit at your local supermarket. Just make sure you protect that new layer as much as possible with the right lotions.

Drink Water

Drinking water is another great strategy you can utilize to get smooth skin. Water keeps you whole body hydrated and helps keep skin smooth. In addition to facilitating the process of removing toxins from the body, water helps keep you hydrated and can curb that holiday overeating that results from being dehydrated.

Get Professional Help

In many cases, it’s a good idea to see a professional dermatologist when you’re attempting to keep your skin from becoming dry. Dermatologists have attained extensive education and experience with skin and will know exactly which tips and tricks to offer so your skin looks absolutely amazing this winter. Also note that there are some medications which many people have found helpful in generating the plush, lively-looking skin they want. Many pharmacists began their journey into the field of medicine by visiting a website like ipharmacytech.com, after which they began cultivating the experience and knowledge necessary to know exactly which products to prescribe to clients in order to smooth those painful cracks.

Sleep

If you’re doing an at-home regimen for your skin, take a close look at what type of lotion you’re using. If one of the first ingredients is alcohol, it could be that is contributing to your dry skin. Use shea butter and thick, creamy substances. Try to stay away from the overly scented, alcoholic brands.

If you’re ready to get absolutely amazing skin this winter, you should know that there are several strategies you can utilize to make it happen. By implementing some or all of the techniques we’ve outlined above, you’ll likely find that you get the smooth, supple skin that you want.

Environmental wellness and wellbeing should be at the forefront of all of our minds. The planet simply cannot keep on in the way that it is currently going, otherwise we are going to run out of resources fairly soon.

When it comes to saving the environment, we should be willing to try anything, even some of the wackier ideas. We’ve collected together some of the strangest environment-saving thoughts that have been had in recent months.

Firstly, astronomer Roger Angel wants to give the Earth a big pair of sunglasses. The scientist says that we should build a 10,000-square mile solar sunshade, made from sixteen trillion glass disks, and place this between the planet and the sun. He says that this would reduce the harmful warming effect that the sun has on our planet by around two percent. Various other researchers have suggested a similar solution, such as creating a ring of sunlight-scattering particles all around the equator, by firing little pieces of reflective materials (such as glass) into space. The cost for this project would be a little more than a pair of sunglasses: somewhere around $350 trillion.

Another scientist, Peter Eisenberger, wants to use algae to start getting rid of carbon dioxide, the air pollution that comes from burning fossil fuels. The team tested this by floating certain types of algae in water, and then injecting CO2 into the water. The algae absorbed the gas, and even grew twice as fast as a result.

A third scientist would like to float the whole of New York on the water. Architect Vincent Callebaut has designed the Lilypad project, a conceptual island which (in theory) can accommodate 50,000 people and float on the ocean, suing solar, thermal, wind and tidal energies to create electricity.

Going through a divorce can upend your world. If children are in the picture, then there is even more potential stress and emotional upheaval added to the situation. The most important thing you can do is let the children know they are loved and will be taken care. Here are five ideas for keeping kids comforted during divorce proceedings.

1. Work Out Your Schedules

The younger they are, the more full of questions they’ll be about what is going on. Usually, these questions will deal with practical matters to them such as who will be picking them up for school and when they will be able to see the other parent. It might help to resolve these issues with the counsel of experienced child custody lawyers in Greensboro NC. If you have these matters worked out between you and your spouse, then you’ll be able to provide the much-needed answers for your kids. That will alleviate a lot of their fears.

2. Give Your Child The Chance To Talk

If your child isn’t asking about the divorce, that doesn’t mean it isn’t on their mind. This is very complex issue for them to process and it will take time to work through all the issues. Every day could present a new thought for them to wrestle with. Make sure you check in with your kids and give them the opportunities to express what they are thinking.

3. Ask Them What They Need

In some cases, it could be a simple fix like additional visitation or attention. You might not always be able to provide what your child needs during the divorce, but at least you’ll know what they are thinking.

4. Be A Positive Role Model

You’ll want to inform your child’s teachers or daycare providers about the situation. Whenever possible, do this in front of the child. This will show them that there is nothing to be ashamed of about the divorce. This can also help them open up more.

5. Don’t Add To The Pressure

No child should be asked which parent they want to live with. That is too much pressure. This is an adult decision that you should make with your partner.

Through this entire process, you need to constantly remind your child that you’re all still a family. Just because the living situations have changed doesn’t mean there isn’t love to go around. There is still plenty they can depend on and to look forward to.

Safe sex may be the sensible option, but sensible isn’t always the most exciting word to enter a conversation. However, as much as we want to lead a passionate sex life with our partner, we can’t neglect our health in the process. Here are some ways to make sex as fun as possible without compromising on the safer side of things.

Use condoms

Intimacy and orgasms unfortunately go hand in hand with sexually transmitted diseases more often than not these days, making sex a complicated mix of pleasure and pain. But if you’re not willing to abstain, what can you do to make sex safer? The most effective way is to use a condom. Safer sex is the only way to go, a there’s no such thing as 100 per cent safe sex – there are always risks. But condoms certainly take a lot of the risk out of sex, and they don’t have to mean a lack of passion. There are plenty of options on the market now to keep sex fun whilst using condoms, as well as a number of options for people who are allergic to latex, so you don’t need to miss out. From flavoured, ribbed, lubricated and coloured, to name just a few, there’s a condom out there to suit everyone, as well as plenty of shapes and sizes for the perfect fit.

Opt for a lubricant

When it comes to sex, the wetter the better should be your motto. Vaginal lubricant is a great tool if you want great sex, for both men and women, and it helps you to avoid irritation and pain from dry sex. There are a few forms of lube, including oil-based, water-based and silicone-based. If you’re using them with condoms, as previously mentioned, water and silicone-based are the safest options as oils break down the latex. You can also get flavoured lubes to make oral sex more fun, as well as those with warming and cooling sensations for exciting sex for both guys and girls.

Get tested regularly

Getting checked for sexually transmitted diseases may not be fun or particularly sexy, but there is something sexy about being able to have sex confident in the knowledge that you’re free of infection. Anxiety about those types of issues doesn’t make sex fun. Regular check-ups not only put your worries to rest but they also stop you spreading infection to your partner, and keep your health in tip-top condition. Your GP can advise of places nearby where you can be checked for free, as well as offering advice if you have any concerns or questions.

Build the excitement before you hit the bedroom

Having sex is fun but you need to build the anticipation before you get into bed. Penetrative sex and an orgasm don’t need to be the only goals – you can have fun by simply arousing each other as well. Use your seduction skills by leaving a note or a sexy voicemail while you’re partner is out at work, or set the mood with a romantic massage or by lighting candles. Get creative – there are loads of ways you can get each other excited, without relying on penetrative sex all the time.

Take sex out of the bedroom

On a similar note, why not be creative with your locations as well? You don’t need to limit your sex life to the bedroom – why not take it to other areas of the house such as the shower? You could even see how adventurous you both feel and take it to a secluded spot outside.

It’s hard to think of a time in our lives where we had such big parties as we did when we were kids. It’s not like now when a couple of bottles of wine, a cheesy CD and half a cake will see us through. Back then we’d have themes, bouncy castles, activities, part-bags, games sometimes even performers. When’s the last time you even saw a performer? Don’t even try to think of the last time you hired one and just to make this perfectly clear, strippers do not count. Along these lines we’ve been thinking and we’ve decided that it’s best to make those few years of big parties and absolute best they can be. Themes and activities from here to there, with cake and hats and all the stuff you loved as a kid but you’re too grown up for now!   Cupcake Themes Cupcakes are in right now. They can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes from the exquisite works of art to the rough and ready fairy cakes which you’ve lovingly baked by hand. You could have the party goers decorate their own cupcakes for an activity and have a giant cupcake as the birthday cake. Or if you were feeling really daring, you could make a pyramid of cupcakes, each with its own candle. Ask your child what their favourite colours and flavours are and theme it around them. There’s all sorts you can do with this and kids will love the wild and wacky varieties which you’re sure to come up with!   Face Painting Party Not only could you hire a face painter to give every kid the look they love, you could let them have a go themselves. Make sure to use non-toxic and non-oil based face paint to make sure no damage is done and that clean-up is relatively easy and you’ll find that kids have a great time! If you’re feeling particularly brave then you could let kids paint their parents faces! Yourwellness takes no responsibility for parents looking foolish!   Shape Party  Great for younger kids. Ask your child what their favourite shape is and theme the whole party around that. Cut food into that shape, including the cake. Have games based around it and make sure the decorations match too! It"s hard to believe, but we were all young once
