There are all sorts of things which people can do to improve their health and wellness in their day to day lives. Of course, people being people, most don’t. Some things require a lot of effort and you can understand why most won’t bother, who wants to run miles every day or eat nothing but celery? It’s when there’s something easy, a one off which requires a half hours effort just once a year that we have to draw the line. I’m talking about the flu inoculation and if it’s your job to try and sell this as a good idea to your workforce this little guide should be hugely useful to you!

  1. Give people access. It’s not good having it at a time or in a place which people can’t get to. Organise the jabs when people are generally free or have several opportunities to make sure that everyone gets the chance to get inoculated and that nobody who wants to, gets left out.
  2. Education is Key. There’s a lot of myth a legend surrounding the flu inoculation and it’ll be important to dispel these so as to remove any fear or concern people have. Awareness will help to convince employees that they’re not going to be harmed by the inoculation!
  3. Find a sales pitch which works for you. Talk about the benefits but remember that the most power can be had when you know your audience and you use that knowledge to the best of your abilities. This can mean targeted messages or simply talking to people with the most issues with the jab personally. Know your audience to win your audience.
  4. Ask employees when the best time for them is and then plan around that. It’s pointless having the inoculations when no-one is there to have them!
