Your emotional needs are closely linked to your sexual needs. If you are connected to your partner, your emotional wellness and wellbeing will be boosted and your sex life will be immediately improved.

One way to connect with your partner and spice up your sex life is to take some outings with your partner. What may seem like a totally innocuous and innocent day trip can make some sexy sparks fly.

For a first outing, why not try a trip to an art museum? Not only will an art museum likely contain examples of erotica, such as nude photos, paintings and sculptures, which may start you thinking about sex and lead to a more erotically charged experience, but the intimacy of the visit may help, too. When you are in an art gallery you are likely to be standing close together, sharing inspiration, talking in whispers and generally enjoying an intimate moment.

Conversely, an amusement park can also have a greatly stimulating effect on your sex life. Going on rides makes your heart race and floods you full of adrenaline. Going on a roller coaster can seem like foreplay, as you stumble off flooded with endorphins and looking for the next thrill! In addition to this, amusement parks also facilitate a lot of bumping into each other, holding hands, grabbing onto one another for security and so on – plus all the sugar from the candy on offer can give you a bit of a natural high too.

A library may seem like the unsexiest location on earth, but when it comes to the bit, all that silence and quiet corners can lead to some serious erotically charged moments. Whether you are studying together, with your shoulders touching, heads leaning over the same book and legs touching under the table, or actually having hot library sex somewhere in the aisles, the solitude and seriousness of the building can actually be a great aphrodisiac.

Having great sex has been proven to have benefits for your emotional health. Just because you have sex with one partner does not mean that the wild sex life of your youth has got to be left behind either. In fact, your sexual wellness and wellbeing rely on you being able to keep things active and spicy in the bedroom department.

A recent survey has even indicated that most couples are willing to spice things up in the bedroom and get a bid adventurous in their sex lives, which is contrary to what people normally think. They say no one knows what goes on behind closed doors, but thanks to the survey we now have a bit more of an idea!

The survey reported that around 80 percent of couples had tried using a lubricant during sex. An impressive 69 percent had tried dirty talk during foreplay or sex itself, whilst around 61 percent of those surveyed admitted to having used some kind of sex toy such as a vibrator during intercourse. A further 60 percent of those surveyed said that they had had sex in a situation where they might be caught, such as at a friend’s house, and 56 percent of couples said that on at least one occasion they had shared a saucy fantasy with their other half.

The survey was conducted by an organisation called Good In Bed, and also revealed that around half of the couples surveyed felt that trying something new in their sexual routine would help them to improve their sex life, although some of them struggled to think what the ‘sexy’ thing could be.

Some suggestions along these lines could be to vary the routine a little – so keep the lights on if they normally go off, try a different room in the house or try something new, such as using a sex toy or lubricant. You can also go with the old fail safe of trying on some sexy lingerie.

Men will be delighted to hear that the survey also found that women were more sexually adventurous than men.
