This is none other than actor Varun Dhawan, who will be soon seen in dance-drama film Any Body Can Dance 2.

The actor had put on the makeup and extensions for the promotion of his film on popular TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil. He informed on Instagram:

Varun, who promoted the film on the show with his co-star Shraddha Kapoor and director Remo D’Souza, had quite a ‘messy celebration’ on the sets:

Actor Varun Dhawan, who is stepping into Salman Khan’s shoes for Shuddhi, has decided to maintain silence regarding the project.

“I will not say anything about Shuddhi. People have said a lot about it, but as an actor, my job is to act, just talking about is not going to help. So, all that I will do is act and let the audience decide,” Varun said here.

To be directed by Karan Malhotra, Shuddhi also co-stars Alia Bhatt.

Earlier, producer Karan Johar had confirmed Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan would play the lead in the film, and then Salman Khan was taken on board. But, just last month, Karan Johar announced that he had finalised Varun and Alia.

Varun said, “There are lots of new things in this film and there are also lot of rumours going around with this film. But all I will say is don’t listen to any rumours. It’s a completely different film.”

The suspense around the Karan Johar-produced and Karan Malhotra-directed Shuddhi is finally over. Salman Khan, who was initially signed for the project, is not doing the film anymore. Karan Johar has signed his trusted protegees Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt instead of Salman for the same.

He wrote on Twitter

And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT…directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..@Varun_dvn@aliaa08@karanmalhotra21@DharmaMovies

It seems that the decision to replace Salman with Varun has everything to do with the uncertainty around Salman Khan’s two pending court cases.

Salman, on his part, promptly congratulated Varun who has been churning out hit after hit ever since his debut in Student Of The Year.

The bonhomie continued with Varun responding with a tweet of his own

Thank you Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan I promise to make you proud #shuddhihttps://t.co/96hRAOuIU7

Varun Dhawan is definitely the flavour of the season. This time we are sure the much-hyped and much stalled Shuddhi will finally be made.

Varun Dhawan, who is all set to shed his romantic image in Bollywood with his upcoming revenge drama Badlapur, feels this year is important in his career. (Also read: Varun Dhawan Loves Being an Actor)

“It will be a make or break year for me. I know we are underdogs but if Badlapur works then it will be bigger than Rs 100 crore for me. It’s a different challenge. I just want the audience to like the film,” Varun told PTI.

Badlapur, a film starring multiple stars, is directed by Sriram Raghavan and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte besides Varun. Badlapur is set to release on February 20.

Varun, 27, said he is not on a signing spree and does not get bothered when he is often compared to his Student of the Year co-stars Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.

“I don’t believe in rat race and try to keep away from it but somehow the media keeps on comparing. I believe we all are working here for the betterment of Indian movies and taking the industry ahead,” he said.

The young actor, who is the son of filmmaker David Dhawan, wants to create his own identity in the industry.

“People often compare me with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and young Govinda. But I just want to be next me,” Varun said.
