Anybody who has ever run a car – or at least anyone who has done it well – knows the importance of keeping the car tuned up to perfection and getting regular maintenance work. Diligently you’ll take the car to the garage like clockwork every 5,000 miles and have all the basics checked to ensure that things are still running smoothly. This is the best way to know that your car is safe, working correctly and remains a constant in your life. But while this is clearly good practice for your car, it is not necessarily a good idea to apply these rules to your sex life.

For your girlfriend or wife, doing the same thing over and over again and being stuck in a car maintenance style routine is a very bad thing when it comes to sex. What’s good for your car often is not a good principal to apply to your sex, so it is worth changing things up in order to keep everyone happy and ensure that everything still goes well. Indeed, too many men treat sex like an oil change, so here are some signs that you may be doing that, and therefore would need to change things up.

You have sex on a schedule

Having sex on a regular schedule is exactly like the way you might go in for an oil change after a certain number of miles have ticked over. Perhaps you only have sex on Fridays or you only sex right before bed – it doesn’t matter, the problem is the monotony. While consistency is a good thing for your car, it is actually a very bad thing for your sex life and can lead to a number of problems that would really not be ideal. So break out of this rut and do something spontaneous, there are so many different options with sex that there is no need to fall into boring routine. Be exciting, be dangerous and above all, be different.

Your sex lasts about as long as an oil change

How long does your sex last these days? Many garages can complete an oil change in about ten minutes, but if you’re looking for that kind of speed in your love life then there is something clearly very wrong and this needs changing as badly as the oil in your car. Stretch things out a bit – include long foreplay sessions or try different things in order to ensure that you take your time and don’t rush. Be sure not to try to rush in without taking care of her needs first. This will ensures a more sexual experience for both of you.

Her levels of lubrication are low

Cars need to be well oiled to be working properly, and in this regard it is fairly easy to sort it out – you just pop into the garage and get things oiled up again for a good bit of lubrication. If your girlfriend is lacking some lubrication of your course there are simple ways to add it in, but this is not the right way to be treating your sex life. Instead you should ensure you are doing everything that you can make her experience as good as yours. Don’t fall back on the easy ways of doing things, as you would with sorting our car. This is your relationship and it is worth much more to you than a car that is running smoothly. Take the advice of this article and you have no worries about treating your sex life the wrong way.

Are you troubled by your weight and fitness, but think that you don’t have time to tone up and get fit? In truth, the simple things that you need to do to boost your wellness and general wellbeing only take a few minutes each day. It is possible to get into shape quickly, if you know how to go about it.

The most important thing is to have an effective exercise routine. There is no point in slogging it out at the gym all day if you are not doing the right exercises. The best way to make sure that your workout is effective is to ensure that it is as varied as possible. If you normally do cardio, add a bit of strength training. If you prefer yoga, add a few squats and lunges into your day, or a bit of cardio.

Secondly, to get to and then maintain a healthy weight, you need to be mindful of the calories that you eat. Make sure that you are aware of how many calories are in certain things. Do you really need a glass or orange juice (100 calories per small glass) or would a glass of water (zero calories) be just as refreshing? Look at ingesting calories that really boost your body and foods that are packed with natural nutrients, too.

One of the best ways to ensure that you stick to your diet and exercise regime is to plan ahead, too. Think about your schedule over the next few weeks and work out when it is going to be toughest to eat healthily or to get those training sessions in. Meal planning for the week ahead can also be a very sensible move, as it avoids the ‘what’s for dinner?’ scenario where hunger and tiredness can drive you into making poor decisions.
