Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who plays the role of Simon Masrani, the owner of the dinosaur park in the movie Jurassic World, feels the success of the movie has turned out to be a blessing for him.

“The success of Jurassic World has come out as a blessing for all of us. I am overjoyed with the response that the film has received in India and abroad. I thank everyone who has contributed to this film and made it such a large success,” Irrfan said in a statement.

Jurassic World has minted over $200 million at the US box office so far.

22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, the story unfolds in a fully functional resort on Isla Nublar that sees more than 20,000 visitors a day. The new park includes a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park-type setting and, of course, unprecedented close access to real, living dinosaurs.

The movie, which also stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in lead roles, is set on Isla Nublar island, the same location as Jurassic Park and is a direct sequel to the 1993 super hit.

In today’s world, having a degree in any area does not necessarily mean that you will get a job in that particular industry after you graduate. If you want to put yourself out there on the market, you have to acquire some extra skills. Here are a few tips on how to get to know the world of business and to become more employable.

Languages

Even though English is widely used today, you never know who your business partners may be and what language you will need tomorrow. So, it is best to take up a language course. I suggest Mandarin Chinese, German, Spanish, French and Russian, since these are the languages which are the most widely spoken in the world. Do not let yourself to be discouraged if you do not reach level C1 or higher – one day, a simple greeting in your client’s or partner’s mother tongue may be the key moment of signing an agreement.

Giving Presentations

The world of business is all about data – and data must be collected, calculated and presented in order to make sense and to make conclusions. Thus, you have to learn how to give brief, effective and concise presentations which will help your business grow.

Communication Skills

In order to sell a product or a service, which is at the core of any business, you have to have acquired communication skills. If you do not know how to persuade the interested party or a potential client, then you lose money. If you make promises, then you must keep them. If you are selling something, then make it attractive and affordable.

Business and Administration Courses

Every business stands on the shoulders of its administrative workers. Administration is a special area and you have to be or have an expert, so the main thing is to acquire knowledge and implement it in practice. The best thing is to take up administration courses if you do not have much time. They will show you how to make balance between the business needs and the legal requirements you have to comply with in order to keep the inflow constant. It is also important that you continue to learn and keep on improving your business skills once you get employed.

MBA

On the other hand, if you do have time, and you have some experience behind you, my advice is to get yourself an MBA. Masters of Business Administration need not have a BA in that area, but they must have some business experience. Experts say that most of the things you have seen in practice you will get to see in theory, and the areas you have frequently made mistakes in will be much clearer after a formal business education.

Lifelong Learning

In the end, you must remember that, like in any field of expertise, you have to work on yourself and keep on learning if you want to be successful. That does not have to imply formal education; it usually implies getting a book in an area and mastering it, in order to implement it in practice. Nobody will help you unless you help yourself first.

After having all these things completed, you will be a perfect material for employment and, someday, employee of the month.

Paraphrasing the ancient proverb, our eyes are windows that bring the world into our lives. Everyone depends heavily on their ability to see and as such vision problems have long been a source of frustration. Understandably, these problems have led to the development of many devices and procedures to help us improve our vision. But what good are those innovations if you haven’t heard of them or are unaware that they are available. The following is a little bit of history and statistics on what you could do

Improving Human Vision

Eyeglasses, which were the first successful vision-improvement devices, began to appear in Italy in the mid 13th century. However, glasses would not become practical for another 400 years, when lenses began to incorporate the principles of light refraction to improve clarity. We can see millions of people who have now taken advantage of this invention.

The first successful contact lenses were developed in the late 1800s. However, the early contacts created difficulties for their users despite their cosmetic advantage over eyeglasses. It was not until the middle of the 20th century that corneal lenses were developed. Instead of fitting over the entire eyeball, these lenses only covered the cornea, which is the part directly in front of the iris.

Cataract surgery was the first intricate procedure designed to improve human vision. It involves the removal of eye lenses that have become clouded. The procedure was practiced in ancient India and was refined over many centuries. A major advancement in cataract surgery came with the introduction in the 1940s of the artificial lens. Known as the intraocular lens, this prosthesis would replace the natural lens for the purpose of restoring the patient’s vision.

Modern Methods of Improving Vision

Many vision improvement procedures are available today that could not have been imagined even a few decades ago. The best known of these methods is laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis, better known as LASIK surgery. The procedure has been used in the treatment of nearsightedness and farsightedness, and for astigmatic focusing problems. LASIK surgery improves vision by removing tissue from the cornea with the intense heat that is produced by a laser.

Photorefractive keratectomy, or PRK, and laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy, or LASEK, are two procedures that are closely related to LASIK surgery but which are useful in cases where the physical condition of the patient’s eyes precludes the use of the more traditional treatment. Conductive keratoplasty is another technique used in the treatment of focusing problems. This method utilizes energy from radio frequencies sent through a probe to shape the cornea so that light will focus properly on the retina.

Approximately 12 million LASIK treatment procedures have been carried out in the U.S. alone, with a patient satisfaction rate of well above 90 percent. LASIK surgery, like that offered at Eye Lasik Austin, has literally helped millions improve their view of the world.

With all these innovations or procedures available to the general public you can be sure to get the vision that you’ve always wanted! All you have to do is go out there and get it!

Valentine’s Day is a very important day in the sexual calendar, a day when relationship wellness and wellbeing are celebrated, but when STDs are also at their highest risk. This is because people get swept up in the ‘romance’ of the night and often forget that, however unromantic, it is still important to use protection. This Valentine’s Day, people throughout the world gave out much more than chocolates and flowers – they gave out free condoms. Safe sex awareness events were held all across 13 countries, during the ‘season of love’.

World Condom Day is now observed at the same time as Valentine’s Day in order to promote the idea of safe sex on one of the most sexually active days of the year. The theme for the celebration this year was ‘Love is the Best Protection’.

This theme was designed to help spread a message of love as a way of preventing both HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The thinking behind this is that the best way to show love both for yourself and for other people is to choose to use a condom. This protects everyone against unplanned pregnancies, and also improves the sexual health by protecting against HIV and other STDs. World Condom Day aims to ensure that people have greater access to free condoms than ever before, whilst educating them on the importance of choosing to have safe sex.

Condoms – when used correctly – are the only form of protection that helps to protect against contracting a sexually transmitted disease.

This is particularly important now, more than ever before, as experts have been reporting that a new STD has arrived which could be even more deadly than AIDS. If this super bug is not harnessed, it could cause the most devastating epidemic the world has ever seen.

Just when you think that you know all there is to know about the world of sexual wellness and wellbeing, along come a few crazy facts that make you realise you have only just hit the tip of the iceberg!

For example, did you know that you can buy such a thing as a vibrating alarm clock? The Wake Up Vibe alarm clock costs around £44 and could make your day start in a rather pleasant manner. You set the clock with a time and one of six different vibration options and then you pop it in your pants and go to sleep (if you can actually sleep whilst waiting for that to start going off!)

From the bizarre to the downright scary, there are actually women in this world who use their vaginas to lift weights. Sex coach Kim Anami says that using your pelvic floor to lift weights can improve your muscles, help reduce bladder and post-childbirth problems and improve both your libido and the intensity of your orgasms.

The Russian gymnast, Tatyana Kozhevnikova, is the current world recorder holder for lifting the most weight with her vagina. She managed to lift an eye-watering 14kg kettleball using just her pelvic floor muscles.

If that doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, perhaps you’d like to try to the new game, Would You Rather, a specific location-based app for bisexual, lesbian and curious women. During the game, players are shown two images, one of a nearby woman and one of an alternative, such as an animal, food or sport. If both you and your unknown partner choose each other over the alternative, then you are sent a message saying so and you are then sent off to meet up. The manufacturers hope that this will help to speed up the dating process a little.

All around the world, people are losing weight and increasing their fitness in various ways. There are certain habits that are specific to certain cultures, and we can learn much about how to improve wellness and wellbeing by looking at examples from around the world.

For example, in Japan, they are very keen on stretching and limbering up for the day ahead. In Japan, there is a cheerful piano tune that plays on the radio every morning for 15 minutes, and a voice guides people through a series of stretching exercises. These same exercises are taught in many schools, and the tradition dates back to the 1920s. Known as ‘radio exercises’, group stretching goes on in primary schools and in other group settings – elderly people gather in parks, employees gather together in offices and so on. The Japanese recognise that stretching helps to promote circulation, increases flexibility and helps the body to ‘wake up’ each day.

In the Netherlands, cycling is a big way of life. The Dutch use their bikes for commuting, shopping and any other errands that they need to carry out. Around half the population of Amsterdam cycle every day (compared to less than two percent of Americans), and around 85 percent of all Dutch people ride their bike at least once per week.

If you want to take a lesson from the Dutch, make sure you wear a cycle helmet to help protect against the risks of cycling. Pedalling a bike makes your glutes, quads and hamstrings work hard and improves your cardio fitness levels.

In Singapore, it’s walking on rocks that helps to improve the fitness. Many paths are made from pebble mosaics, and this promotes barefoot walking. As people walk along these paths, reflexology points on the feet are massaged which helps to keep the body balanced.

It is a little known fact that around 30 percent of American women report that they have a low level of sexual desire. Not only does this affect their sexual wellness and wellbeing, it also puts them at risk for other conditions, both physical and emotional.

Fortunately, there are many things that you can do to boost your libido, and the inspiration for many of these comes from all the corners of the globe.

In many countries, spicy food is used to help get the blood flowing to the extremities. Spicy food also naturally turns up the ‘heat’ levels in the body, and boosts your metabolism. In Mexico, Jalapeno peppers and Habanero chillies are used to spice up food and spice up sex lives. In Louisiana, Tabasco sauce is a staple. It is a very hot and spicy sauce, made from mashed up red peppers, vinegar and salt. In India, of course, curry is the spiciest food on the menu and it comes in various different colours and intensities. It mixes hot turmeric with spices and is a staple food for many. In Thailand, Sriracha is a very hot chilli sauce that is frequently used to add a bit of kick to the menu. In Japan, a Japanese horseradish sauce called Wasabi is frequently found in the sushi. Finally, in South Africa, Peri Peri sauce is very popular and is made from Peri Peri chillies.

Yoga is also used around the world to help improve sexual health. It can increase flexibility, thereby making for a more exciting sex life. It is used in various places through the world, and there are even certain yoga poses that are directly linked to better sex, such as the eagle pose, which directs the blood flow into your pelvis, making a relaxed, warm sensation and directly being linked to arousal and desire.

The UK’s first hydrogen-fuelled ferry has set sail from Bristol on its maiden voyage. The project has attracted the attention of various other cities including Hanover and London, as they strive for ways to achieve better environmental wellness. The developers of the Hydrogenesis feel that this could be the start of improved environmental wellbeing for cities around the world, as it opens up the door to a whole new phase in green marine engineering.

The service launched on Thursday, with the skipper, Richard Rankin, at the wheel. As he carefully steered the vessel past polluting diesel ferries, he commented that the boat handled well and was quiet as well as clean, admitting that he felt surprised that the ferry was so efficient.

The boat is 11 metres long and the fuel is made by companies based in the south-west of England. The project was given a quarter of a million pound boost from the Bristol city council in order to help to city win green capital status. Although this was its first official voyage, it was tested out in February to see how it would cope with the icy waters of winter. In contrast, the boat also copes well with the current warm weather. So far, the ferry has been enjoyed by business leaders, scientists and politicians and members of the public will now be able to enjoy the peaceful ride for the rest of the summer.

The Green party councilor for Bristol, Gus Hoyt, described the boat as an ‘exciting first’ for the city, saying that it showcases to Bristol and the rest of the UK and, indeed, world, the benefits that the technology can provide, and that there really can be a mode of transport with zero emissions.

World Environmental Day is coming up, giving you a chance to do your bit to help improve the wellness and wellbeing of the planet.

Often, people are very unaware of how the environment impacts on them. Think about a shopping mall, for example; you can wander around for hours at your leisure, the air conditioning keeps you as cool as a spring breeze, the walking is all good exercise, and looking at nice things helps to reduce your stress, right? Actually, this is not strictly true.

A few years ago, a charity called Mind, which is the leading UK metal health charity, did a study with the University of Essex, looking at how the environment can improve the mental health. This was called ‘Eco therapy’ and involved using green spaces to hep benefit people’s mental health through activities such as walking or gardening. It also looked at the effect on people of simply spending time outdoors, watching nature, seeing the setting sun or simply sitting in the garden and enjoying the fresh air.

The study revealed that we have a lot to thank the environment for, as when outdoor walks were compared directly to indoor walks, those who had taken the outdoor walks said that the walk had boosted their self-esteem, whereas those who took indoor walks did not feel the same.

For the sake of the study, the group was also split into two, and some took part in an indoor activity and some in an outdoor activity. Those who took part in the outdoor activity said that it had lessened their fatigue, and helped to improve their depression and tension. When the indoor group was surveyed, it was found that most participants had felt no change in mood or had even felt an increase in their depressive symptoms by the end of the walk, and many said that their feelings of tension had increased, too.

In Tanzania, the sexual health of young girls is one of the biggest problems affecting their wellness. Many adolescent girls in the country report to feeling under threat wherever they go out. They report that they are on the receiving end of unwanted sexual advances when they are running errands, getting water or even when they go to school. Girls say that they feel under a great deal of pressure to give in to these advances, and that they are sometimes raped. Their wellbeing suffers in numerous ways, with some even avoiding going to school because they fear the advances that their teachers will make on them.

This worrying news means that girls aged between 12 and 17 in Tanzania are at greater risk of contracting the HIV virus. This is sadly not an isolated statistic; globally, girls are more likely to contract HIV than their male peers. Girls make up 60% of those who are aged between 15 and 24 and are living with the HIV virus.

At the heart of all this is the sad truth about gender inequalities in everyday life, and this is the case for many girls in different countries around the world. These harmful gender inequalities affect the mental and physical wellbeing of young girls, and thus is an important issue that needs to be addressed as a priority.

There are projects being put in place around the world to help young girls understand the world in which they are living, and the steps that they can take to help protect themselves. These programmes treat young girls as capable equals, who can address and define their own needs and help to protect themselves from HIV viruses at the same time. This is an inclusive process, where young girls work as youth researchers, who find out what the problems are in the community for themselves, and then help to think of the solutions.
